With May Fair only a day away, I thought it would be prudent to go through some school notices:
- Clubs affected / not affected by Friday’s events: After School Club and Street-surfing are ON; Computer Club and Gymnastics are OFF.
- Years 2 and Years 6 will NOT have their usual car-park pick-up, due to there being lots of cars and movement around the school hall entrance. Apologies for any inconvenience, but I am being cautious and minimising potential danger areas. Please collect your child in the playground.
- The above bullet point means there will be a significant increase in cars on our road. PLEASE drive extra-carefully, park safely and respectfully (stay off our zig zags), and think about other road users such as farm vehicles still going about their daily routines.
- It is DRESS DOWN FRIDAY, tomorrow, and so please bring in a contribution of chocolates and bottles, all of which will populate our incredibly busy tombola stall and raffle.
- Buy Your Tickets – if you don’t buy a ticket, you won’t win the raffle! You will be able to buy them on the day, but you can also send them in tomorrow with pupils and we will pass them on!
- As it is a very busy time, teachers will be extra-vigilant on who is collecting and to whom do they release your child! Please collect your child from the playground, don’t send a message with someone else (unless checked with the Office Team) and don’t get frustrated if I have kept your child until you come around and collect! It is simply the safest way to do it – for you, us and the pupils.
- I am still responsible for our pupils whilst they on our site, so will be asking them to not use any mobile phones on the school grounds for taking pictures etc. I appreciate your support on this.
I am delighted that the weather looks to be holding out and I expect we will all have a good time to end a very, very busy few weeks at Thurlbear!
