NHS Advice re: Slapped Cheek Syndrome

We have a number of pupils exhibiting ‘slapped cheek syndrome’ in school.
Here is a link to the NHS page You do not have to stay off work or school after the rash appears.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/slapped-cheek-syndrome

One key piece of advice from it is:

“You do not have to stay off work or school after the rash appears. Let the school or teacher know if your child has slapped cheek syndrome. “

Obviously, if your child feels unwell, please keep them off. However, we will not be sending children home due to the rash if it is clearly present.
