Good morning families
Rain has continued to fall and I have just done a loop of the locality. Orchard Portman is currently ok, but Stoke St Mary is filling up and Parsons were on the lane clearing drains. I could pass with care. With this in mind – and with no sign of the weather lessening – I am taking the decision to enact a staggered pick-up this afternoon.
We will eat our Christmas Lunch and then invite Chestnut, Rowan and Cherry Classes to pick up from 1:30pm. Siblings will be ready, also. Please line up in our car park as we did on Monday, as this worked effectively and meant you do not get soaked.
From 2pm, Key Stage 2 classes can be picked up. This timing will allow families to get down our school lane safely.
After School, Club will be cancelled along with after school sports clubs.
Please let us know if someone else is picking up your child.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but I feel it is safer to do this now rather than waiting for local conditions to worsen.
