Week Review 12.7.24

Another busy week has come to an end and we look back at the main points and signposts into next week.

It was great to invite the Richard Huish Woodwind Ensemble into school, this week, and they inspired our children with their brilliant versions of some Harry Potter classics and even a tune from the Barbie film! If ANY key Stage 1 pupil would like to try and take up an opportunity to try music lessons, then there are taster sessions on 14th August at Taunton Brewhouse: Book via www.tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk

Today (Friday), the magazine “Somerset Primary Times” there are a wide range of events in their diary pages, and right all across Somerset and for the summer holidays. Please do take a look, as a magazine should have come home with our pupils. Here are some other things on offer that we know of:

Foxdown Farm were sponsors of our Summer Fair.
Our Seven Sowers Benefice are hosting this Summer Club!
The vintage fair has chosen us as their chosen charity! Use the QR Code!

Our Year 6 leavers’ play is performed twice on Tuesday 16th July and the school will get to see it in a sneak-preview performance on Monday morning!

REPORTS will be out in the early part of the week for all pupils and these will be sent electronically via Dojo or Tapestry. Families are very welcome to message any comments back into school.

Wednesday will be the extra gymnastics session led by Premier Education, as well as the final one on Friday. There will be NO Computer Club next Friday 19th.

Friday 19th is the day for Year 2 to visit Lyme Regis museum!

…….and then we have the final day Wednesday 24th, when the Year 6 Leavers’ service. As a school, we go out onto the field and see them in the morning and we wave them off around 2:30pm; it is quite incredible how quickly this comes around.

Mr Gunstone’s clubs will continue until the final day, so there WILL be clubs on the final Monday to Wednesday for Y4-6 Football Monday, 3-6 cricket Tuesday and 3-6 Summer Sports Wednesday. There will be NO football with Mr Prisk on Tuesday 23rd or choir on that day, either.
